Today's Card Review is on Steelix. Steelix is a Stage 1 Pokemon, with 140 HP, a x2 weakness to Fire-types, a -20 resistance to Psychic-types, and a retreat cost of 4 Colorless energies. Steelix has a Poke-Body, and 2 attacks.
Steelix's Poke-Body, Perfect Metal, says that Steelix can't be affected by Special Conditions. This means that Steelix can't be Poisoned, Burned, Paralyzed, etc, which makes him even tougher to take out with his 140 HP.
Its first attack, for 2 Colorless Energies, is called Energy Stream. It does 30 damage, and allows you to attach an Energy from your discard pile to Steelix. This helps out his other attack.
Steelix's second attack, for 2 Metal energies and 3 Colorless energies, is called Gaia Crush. This attack does a whopping 100 damage, and its effect is great, as well. It lets you discard any Stadium card in play. This means if your opponent has a pesky Stadium in play, like Galactic HQ or Snowpoint Temple, you can discard it, along with probably your opponent's Pokemon.
For strategy, I would pair this up with the Diamond & Pearl Magnezone so it has a free retreat cost, and give Steelix an Expert Belt. Now he has 160 HP, and Gaia Crush can do 120! This card is so powerful, I would suggest making this card the heart and soul of your deck.
